Email Deletion While Forwarding or Replying

Microsoft Outlook users send, receive, reply, and forward e-mails to communicate regarding their personal and professional matters. These e-mails can also contain attachment(s), such as, a word document, spreadsheets, .txt files, and more. However, before downloading the attachments on the system, the user should scan it with a powerful anti-virus software. This allows the user to prevent all the virus-infection issues. However, if the user forgets to scan the document or the anti-virus software is unable to detect the virus, then it might leave the user in serious problems. One such problem is deletion of e-mails from the PST file. To overcome such situations, the user needs to restore all the deleted e-mails from an updated backup file. But in absence of a valid backup file, the user needs to search for a third-party Deleted Email Recovery software that can recover all your deleted e-mails.

To illustrate the above problem, consider a practical scenario where you receive an e-mail with attachment. You download the attachment and save it in your system. However, now when you reply to any mail saved in your MS Outlook, then that e-mail gets automatically deleted. The same happens when you forward an e-mail. In addition, the deleted e-mail(s) are also not visible in the ‘Deleted Items’ folder.

Cause:

The root cause for the deletion of e-mails is fatal virus attack. The attachment that you downloaded contained a deadly virus that is deleting the e-mails.

Resolution:

To resolve the above problem, scan your system with a good anti-virus software. However, to access the deleted e-mails, follow the below steps:

1. Restore the e-mails from an updated backup.

2. In case of backup unavailability, recover the e-mails by using a commercial Deleted Email Recovery software.

Such recovery tools perform Deleted Mail Recovery by using high-end recovery algorithms. The recovered e-mails can be restored at default or new location. These tools come with deleted emails for even password-protected files. Such utilities do not modify the original PST file, making the recovery process absolutely safe.
